1Not good batteries  May 22, 2010
I bought some of the AA Duracell 2650 mAh NiMH batteries and the Duracell 15 minute charger model CEF15NC to use with my digital camera. The batteries do not hold a charge at all. Some of the worst rechargable NiMH batteries I have ever had the displeasure of using. I put the batteries in the charger and after about 15 minutes it indicates the batteries are charged. Put them in the camera and after one or two shots the low battery indicator shows. If I don't use the freshly charged batteries right away and try to use the camera after a day or two there is absolutely no charge in the batteries. I have tried charging them in other chargers overnight and the same situation. They do not hold a charge. I even bought another set of the Duracell batteries to see if maybe the first set were bad, but the new ones would not hold a charge either.

2Duracell admits they won't hold a charge for long  May 02, 2010
After buying two packs of these AA and two of the AAA and having all of them not hold a charge when not in use for longer than about 10 days, I called Duracell. They admitted that these high capacity batteries will only hold a charge no more than two weeks, and if I wanted batteries that held a charge when not in use, I should choose the pre-charged. They sent me coupons to get some as replacements which was appropriate. Why would anyone make batteries that can not hold a charge long enough to have them ready for when they are needed? Less than two weeks just doesn't make sense.

1Do Not Hold A Charge  Mar 29, 2010
These are very poor batteries. After less than a year, none of them hold a charge for more than a few days without use. When using them, the charge they hold is too weak to use in many of my electronics products. They power an LED flashlight for all of 10 minutes or so. A total waste. Do not buy these.

1The Worst... 2000 mAH is much better!  Jan 13, 2010
I previously purchased eight of the 2000 mAH Duracell batteries- the first four came with a charger. Those batteries ROCK! They do not discharge over time, which means you can leave them sitting in a device and expect it to have power when you need it. I expected that these higher powered versions would be the same- WRONG!

I should have known something was fishy since the 2650 mAH are cheaper than the 2000 mAH. The fact is, these 2650's lose their charge VERY rapidly- and when you have a six hour charger- these 2650's quickly become worthless. However, the 2000 mAH versions have been sitting in my external flashes for two weeks- and I can turn it on and it's ready to go.

Why try to save $4 by going with a higher mAH battery that will just drain quicker and might not be there when you need them? Besides, quite honestly, the 2000 mAH have enough power to recycle my flashes very quickly. My mistake was believing that the only difference between the two versions was the higher mAH.

So save yourself a headache and buy the 2000 mAH versions instead. That is, unless you want to be putting these things on the charger every week- because that is how long it takes for them to drain without use.

3Batteries not so good...  Dec 07, 2009
The service offered was really good, but the truth is that the time these batteries keep charged is not good at all!
