 Industrial Strength Velcro Jul 25, 2010
I had purchased my dog a life vest and the collar opening was too big and needed adjustment. The vest had Velcro in place, but what was there was too small. I needed to add more of the same type of Velcro, to make the opening adjustable enough so her head would stay in place and her front legs wouldn't become entangled in the head opening. I purchased this product, even though it advised that it not be used in submerged water. To ensure that it would stay in place on the vest, I sewed it in place. It's working fine and doing the job I intended it to do. I wouldn't advise everyone to sew this produce in place ... due to it's constructions it's extremely difficult to sew, but for what I needed it to do, I had no choice. I then followed the directions and allowed the adhesive to dry for 24 hours ... I allowed it to dry for a longer period of time actually. I have had no problems with this product.

I wasnt super impressed with any differences between this and the regular velcro a normal person would buy. I was using it for a somewhat unusual use but didnt feel that I would need to replace it. If the price is cheaper on the non industrial velcro I would stay with it.
Not worth buying it in Amazon if you have a Walmart next door Jul 01, 2010
I just found that Walmart sells the 2in * 15 ft at $19.97. If you have a Walmart next door, Amazon is not worth it for this item.

The 2"x15' roll is a great value and has tons-of-uses. I'd like a stronger adhesive on this product as separating the hook from loop will too often pull the adhesive free.
Durable Velcro May 17, 2010
This is just what it says, wide velcro with sticky back. Adhesive tacks quickly to CLEAN, DRY surfaces. Hooks are more durable than regular velcro, but they are still plastic.
